DEBUT LOS ANGELES PRODUCTION. wRITTEN BY PHILIP DAWKINS.
PRODUCED BY BROKEN TOKEN PRODUCTIONS, LOS ANGELES.
“Director Spenser Davis has elicited one fabulous performance after another from a cast of four L.A. theater luminaries and one stunning newcomer... Ingeniously staged... Proof positive that quality theater can be produced on a shoestring budget.”
As marriage equality legislation slowly weaves its way across the United States, a commitment-phobic New York library scientist attends a bachelor’s weekend in Montreal, where a hilariously unexpected romance with a French-Canadian florist will force him to reconsider the very way he defines “marriage,” and “family,” and what it means to be “queer” in a world where the very thing that made you different is now (*gasp*) trending! Actor-producer Danny Bernardo launched his Broken Token Productions banner with this intoxicatingly charming inaugural production, which marked Spenser’s theatrical directing debut in Los Angeles.
Named one of Stage Raw’s Top 10 Shows!
“Stunningly beautiful... deftly and innovatively staged and directed. Full of nuance and thoughtfulness, heartbreak, humor and vulnerability... magnificently healed me of the chaos all around us and gave me hope. I absolutely loved this brilliant and brutally honest play.”
“RECOMMENDED! Fascinating, fast-paced, and timely...
Skillfully helmed by Spenser Davis...”
