Way beyond its sheer entertainment value (which it delivers in spades), Davis’ “Bachelorette” truly challenges its audience.
— Vishwa Goohya, Viastage

Ten years after their high school graduation, three young women — the cokehead-next-door, the alcoholic prom queen, and the ferocious maid-of-honor — crash their best friend’s bridal suite for an impromptu bachelorette party. An hour later, men have joined the mix, pills have been spilled, a wedding dress is in two pieces and a night of debauchery is just getting warmed up. A smash hit Off-Broadway and later adapted for film, BACHELORETTE reminds us that, sometimes, it isn’t until we’re passed out in a tub of iced champagne that we realize who our real friends are.

RECOMMENDED! This Level 11 production is a
ferocious ensemble effort all-around.
— Dan Jakes, Chicago Reader
Were it not so precisely cast or thoughtfully directed, we might come away with a narrow perception of them as prototypical ‘mean girls’ – but in Davis’ rendition we see that they’re messy and complicated and devastatingly human.
— Vishwa Goohya, Viastage
A lean, energetic revival ... That we still like, and even empathize with these perpetual children is credit to Davis and his capable ensemble, who turn out warm, surefooted performances.
