When a group of friends escape the city on their annual weekend retreat, they outlaw cellphones, ban the Internet, and force themselves to talk to one another. But when the liquor starts the flow and the tongues start to loosen, no topic is off-limits and no conversation is off the table. AT THE TABLE was the runaway storefront theatre hit of 2017, selling out its entire Winter run, receiving a Summer Remount, before selling out that and both of its extensions. For the show, Spenser received Best Director of a Play as a first-time nominee.

“One of the Best Shows of the Decade!”

— Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

Such an ensemble, they irresistibly suggested to me the early days of Steppenwolf ... The same attack, the same ease within the ensemble, the same take-no-prisoners aesthetic in choosing material.
— Kelly Kleiman, Dueling Critics
One of the best shows you’re likely to see in 2017 ... Definitely a must-see ... Highly Recommended!
— Alex Huntsberger, Newcity Stage
